4 Busted Poker Myths That Smart Players Don’t Believe

Casino players are superstitious. They would blindly follow a certain belief just for the sake of increasing their advantage over Lady Luck. Poker, whether played in traditional or online casinos harbors tons of superstitious beliefs that are not proven by any scientific research and study.

Here are some of the most commonly accepted “poker truths,” which are actually poker flops.

Luck is all you need
Poker is a skill- based game. It requires strategies. Experience also counts. Yes, a little bit of luck will help, but the reality is that this game requires a whole lot of mental and psychological power.

The reads
Reads will only apply to those who play in brick and mortar casinos. For online players, these have no significance. Actually even in traditional casinos, reads cannot really give you a clue if you have the advantage or not. Some players use them to bluff their opponents.

Playing online poker lowers one’s winning chances
Certainly, there is no truth to this allegation. Playing in online poker rooms is not different from the ones held in traditional casinos. The least thing that online casinos would want to have are dissatisfied players calling their casinos as rogue and the machines, rigged.

As mentioned, poker is a skill-based game. You need to have more skills than luck in order to win.

Sticking to a certain hand
Many believe that your winning chances increase whenever you stick to a particular hand. Apparently, there’s no truth in here. You can form different hands in poker and still win. All you need is strategy, baby.

It is practically okay to believe in superstition. However, don’t let such belief take over your life and gaming approach.

Drink And Be Merry With Tequila Poker’s X200 Win Multiplier

Tequila Poker is an online casino game, which combines poker and blackjack in one exciting game. It also multiplies your winnings by as much as 200 times of your original bet.

Poker and blackjack influence
Poker and blackjack’s influences are seen in the game’s mechanics. When you play this game, you need to have an understanding of poker hands or add your card values accurately—just like what you do in blackjack.

High and tequila poker bets
There are two (2) types of bets present in this game. These are the high and tequila poker bets.

When wagering on high bets, this only means that your total card value is forty-six (46) or better. It is also important to note that under this wager, the cards retain their face value, except for Ace, which takes a value of eleven (11).

In the meantime, the tequila poker bet simply means that you will have to predict on whether your cards will show a stronger poker card than that of the dealer. It can be flush, straight, three of a kind, full house etc.

Surrendering your bet
Tequila Poker is a win-win game. Whenever you see that you’ve got a weak hand, you can always give it up by pressing the fold option. Due to this, you only lose half of your total bet.

The good thing about this game is that you already see the card or hand value long before the actual betting continues. With this game, it becomes a lot easier for you to win and save your bankroll.

Wild Viking—A Different Way To Play Poker And Roulette

Wild Viking combines the principle of roulette and poker into a unique online casino game. Moreover, it features a progressive jackpot that never fails to deliver big wins.

How to play the game
Wild Viking’s table layout shows cards, which are lined up according to their respective suites. This replaces the numbers and colors seen in a roulette wheel. In the upper right corner of the table are different poker hands, where a player can also place his or her bet.

So how does Wild Viking works? Similar to roulette, a player can bet on a specific number, number range or color using the cards on the table. Since the player shall be drawing five (5) cards, the last card drawn shall determine the winning bet.

For example, if the fifth card is a ten (10) of spade, the player wins if he placed any of the following bets: a ten of spade, black and even. In case, he wagered for those three (3) options, all his winnings shall be combined.

On the other hand, if the cards formed a flush, the player wins if he placed a bet on the “flush” option.

The progressive jackpot
Wild Viking comes with a huge progressive jackpot. A player triggers this winning combination whenever he forms a royal flush.

Simple tip
Multiple betting is the best way to maximize Wild Viking. Instead of putting all of the eggs in one basket, it is much better to spread them, minimize the risks and increase one’s winning possibilities.

Win 5000 Times Your Jackpot Bet in Caribbean Stud Poker

The only difference between five-card stud poker and Caribbean Stud poker is that the latter involves playing against the house, instead of against other players. While this set-up generally favors the house, the much higher stakes more than make up for this extra risk.

Jackpot

For instance, in 12BET.com, you can win 5,000 times your jackpot bet in Caribbean Stud poker. To qualify, you only need to meet two requirements: (1) place the minimum bet for the jackpot; and (2) get a royal flush on hand. That’s it.

Progressive Jackpot Side Bet

Of course, this isn’t the only reward you’ll get for playing this variant of poker. There’s also the progressive jackpot side bet, where you need a flush or higher to win a specified percentage of the jackpot, as seen on the left side of the table.

Just click the coin slit on top of the “Ante” field to make your side bet. Afterwards, deal five cards, and decide whether you’ll fold or stay. If you click “Fold”, you’ll lose your ante and the current round. If you click “Call”, you’ll double your ante.

Once you’re done dealing your cards and making your bet, the dealer’s hand will be revealed. Should the dealer’s hand not include an Ace/King, you’ll win even money (1 to 1) and have your bet back. Should the dealer have an Ace/King, and your hand is higher, you’ll win even money and an additional amount according to a pay table.

With 12BET’s Caribbean Stud poker, there’s more than one way to win big.

‘2 Ways Royal’ Doubles Your Luck

Getting a royal flush in poker is like finding a needle in a haystack: It’s doable, but it’s not easy. We at 12BET are aware of this, and so we’ve introduced the game “2 Ways Royal”.

As the name implies, there are two winning hands you can have in this game. You can either get 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 of the same suit (Lo Royal Flush) or 10, J, Q, K, A of the same suit also (Hi Royal Flush). Don’t be fooled by the words “Hi” and “Lo”; as you can see in the pay table (pictured), you’ll get the same amount of winnings from both.

Once you get a winning combination, you have the option to Collect or Double your winnings. If you click ‘Double’, the dealer will give you one face-up card, and four face-down cards to choose from. Should your chosen card be higher than the dealer’s, that’s the time you can collect double. In the event your card equals the dealer’s in rank, you can ‘Collect’ or ‘Double’ again.

You can also click Double Half, and have a chance to double just half of your winnings. Though you’ll get less money under this setup, you’ll also take on less risk, since you can still keep half your winnings no matter what happens.

Online poker games can’t get any more exciting than this. Play ‘2 Ways Royal’ now, and exercise your poker playing, decision making, and money making skills all at once!
