“Complex” casino games and why you should not fear them

There is a common misconception that most online casino games are very difficult to play, owing to the fancy packaging they have or to the multitude of terms normally associated with them. But the fact is, they are so much simpler than they usually seem.

Baccarat. A guessing game with an extremely easy playing system, baccarat only requires you to place bets on just three results: player wins, banker wins, or a tie. The goal is to come up with a hand (usually composed of two to three cards) whose value is closest to nine, with zero being the lowest. This hand “value” refers to the rightmost digit of the sum of their constituent cards: for example, a hand consisting of 3 and 4 is worth 7, but a hand consisting of 7 and 8 is worth 5 (7 + 8 = 15). The game is played between the player and the banker and whoever gets the better hand will be declared winner (unless it is a draw). Unlike Blackjack, baccarat apparently does not need any strategy or tricks.

Roulette. Do not be discouraged by some ‘confusing’ terms like Top Line, Basket, Voisins du Zero, Tiers du Cylindre, and Orphelins because they are just names for the kind of bets offered to players like you. In other words, they are just a list of numbers where bets can be placed on. Roulette is a very simple game. Here, you only need to guess which number or color (red, black) will come up. You can directly bet on a specific number (called a Straight bet) for a higher payout or on a collection of numbers (as mentioned above) for safer guesses (eg. betting on Top Line means you are betting on 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3).

Sic Bo. As difficult as this game can seem at times, Sic Bo actually operates on a very simple principle of betting on the outcome of the next throw of dice. In online casinos, this is played between you and the banker. Three dice are typically used to determine the winner, which in turn will be based on numerous bets. The most common bets are: Triples (eg, 111, 444, 666), Doubles (22, 33, 55), Odd (total score will be an odd number), Even (total score will be an even number), Big (total score will be from 11 to 17), Small (total score will be from 4 to 10), and Single Dice Bet (you guess a single number that must appear on at least one of the dice).
