Eight Betting Options in Standard Sic Bo

Also known as Tai Sai or Dai Siu, Sic Bo is an ancient Chinese gambling game which means “dice pair.” To win this game, the players must predict the result of the three dice after they have been rolled.
Beginners may find a Sic Bo table very intimidating because of its layout. Other players, however, may perceive it as the game’s charm. Opposing Sic Bo table’s formidable looking table, the rule of this game is easy: predict how the three dice will land.

There are eight basic bets players can wager on and these are:

Single Number
Bets are made on any of the six possible faces of the die that may appear, that is, from one through six; payouts include one-to-one for a single occurrence of the chosen number, 1-to-1 for two incidences, and 3-to-1 for all three dice showing the selection.

Two Dice Combination
This bet is placed on two specific dice and the bet wins if the two selected numbers are rolled. There are 15 possible combinations for this bet: one and two, three and four, and so on. This bet pays five-to-one.

Double
Players who wager on double win if the specific pair of numbers on two of the three dice they bet on came up. For example: 4-4 or 8-8; this bet pays 6-to-1.

Triple
This option resembles the “double” bet; only the wager is on the same specified number showing up on all three dice to win. A bet on a specific triple typically pays 150 to 1.

Any Triple
This wager is on any non-specified number coming up on all three dice; it pays 30-to-one. Land-based casinos usually throw the dice on the table but online casinos use a cage where the dice are being rolled.

Totals
This one is based on a specific total from 4 to 17 coming up when the result of the three dice added up. Payouts depend on the sum of the three dice.

Small and Big Bet
This wager is placed on the total of the three dice being “Big” (11 to 17) or “Small” (4 to 10). Either bet loses if a triple showed up. The payout for this bet is 1 to 1.

Odd and Even Bet
Like small and big bet, this wager is placed on the total of the three dice being either odd or even; either will lose if a triple is rolled. Payout is 1 to 1 as well. But unlike the other wagers, this is not available on all Sic Bo tables.

Sic bo is undeniably a fun and exciting online casino game. Its complexity and confusing appearance is just a mere façade. The only thing that players need to do is to understand the game and make the best bets to beat the house.
