The most popular casino game in the world (poker) mashed up
with one of the fascinating Chinese games (Pai Gow) has produced a different
breed of online casino card game—Pai
Gow Poker. A mix of games from different categories, Pai Gow Poker is a one-on-one
game between the dealer and the player.
How it goes
Both participants will be dealt with seven cards. In order
to win, one must have a higher hand over the other. Players will have the
“highest” and the “second highest” hands. The highest hand consists of five cards,
while the other two cards are referred to as the “second highest” card.
As a comparing card game, the player must arrange their
cards accordingly and form the best combination of cards to have the highest
hand. Once done, the dealer’s hand will be revealed. The player wins if both
highest hand and second highest hand are stronger than the dealer’s. Otherwise,
the dealer wins.
A ‘PUSH’ happens when one of the hands of the player beats
the dealer’s while the other hand is of much lower value. The player receives
even money minus 5% commission if the highest and second highest hands are
better than that of the dealer.
The banker gets a tie when the dealer’s hands and the player’s
hands have an exact match or a copy.
Things to remember
The five-card hand or the highest hand is ranked as in poker
but the combination of Ace-2-3-4-5 is the second highest straight and the
ranking of five Aces is higher than royal flush. The highest value of the
two-card hand or the second highest hand is a pair of Aces.
The joker is a part of the deck and can be used to complete
a straight, flush, or straight flush, otherwise it is equivalent to an Ace in
five-card hand while in two-card hand, the joker always plays as an Ace.
There is an option called the “House Way;” a player can
arrange the cards on their own or let the computer do the job for them by
simply clicking the “House Way” button.
